(More customer reviews)I loved Creepy Crawlers when I was a kid. We had dozens of metal molds, not just spiders, but action figures. I still have the centipede that I made 30 years ago. Each section is a different colour and the legs are streaked with multiple colours. We would try and do artistic things like add colours a bit at a time to make a rainbow effect. The cooker was not all that hot and they provided tongs to remove the molds which you then put in a tray of water. That cooled it off.Bumped into it once or twice with my hand and got a mild burn and guess what? I did not touch the tray again. !!! Duh.
But the safety nannies have ruined it forever. The new molds , heated by a lightbulb will not open the door until the tray is totally cool. Not only that, it takes longer, making the procedure boring. No more adding layers, as the bottom one will burn.No more creativity.
Truly sad that a great toy has been ruined in the name of safety.

(More customer reviews)Just so everyone knows they ship NUMEROUS multiple figures. I received FIVE polis masans! Five. Who wants one polis masan? Out of the 50 figures stated I would get, I maybe got 15 actual individual minis. I recieved no jedi, clone troopers, or storm troopers. Most were odd, like THREE short Utupauns that refueled Obi Wan's starfighter in Ep.III. My suggestion is to buy singles to ensure you recieve what you want. I was very disappointed. Five, not two, not three, not four, but five polis masans. And three stupid force adepts. Not a single light sabre in the bunch.

(More customer reviews)As a mom of 2 star wars fans we own about 20 lightsabers and this one is the biggest piece of JUNK.I understand that it is intended to be a costume prop but it does not even stay in one piece to serve that purpose.I guarantee you that you will be trying to tape the pieces of the saber together after 15 minutes....:(Also, the light-up feature is do dim it appeared to be broken.I purchased two of these for my boys though to I am certain it is not broken.Sorry to give such a negative review but I want to save other parents the same hassle!

(More customer reviews)Just got my 9 year-old a Didj for his birthday.The initial setup was easy and he took to the controls right away.The Sonic game is fun and does test spelling, but the word choice is somewhat illogical--lots of words like "bread", "laughter", "knowledge"--which don't follow any rules; i.e. all are sight words.This is great if your kid is already proficient at memorizing these words and just needs a review, but is terrible for reinforcing spelling rules based on phonemes.

A big selling point of this game is that parents can go online and make customized spelling lists.So it was very disappointing that if you connect to the Leapfrog Learning site and try to get to the customization page, you get a message saying the page is not working, they are "aware of the problem and are working on it"C'mon, Leapfrog, this is one of the big features you are pushing--fix this problem!!

My mother is the one who went against my wishes and purchased this for my daughter Christmas 2008, that's right 2008. Knowing my feeling on this subject my mother came armed with newspaper articles, e-articles, and an educational magazine. Due to my stubbornness it was an entire year before I loaded the software on my computer. With that being said I am glad my mother purchased this for my daughter (age 8) as I never would. Didj is not a hand held game or video game, it is an awesome educational tool. I love it! The Didj includes a feature on its "Leapfrog Connect" in which I can upload her spelling words and choose her math facts and language arts skills by grade and then again by specific skills. In order to continue to the next level she must answer a series of educational questions, this motivates her because she earns micromods. Micromods are equivalent to money/tokens in which she downloads "extras" for each game. For example, she has downloaded a pet for Sonic and a new computer for Nancy Drew and a Karate move for Spongebob. I have purchased another six educational tools; Nancy Drew, Nicktoons, Neopets, Tinkerbell, Super Chicks, High School Musical and a free download from Leapfrog Jet Pack Heroes. I can't seem to say enough about this valuable educational tool. My daughter is studying her math facts and spelling words without me telling her "It's time to study".

(More customer reviews)One can never have too many X-Wings.This Lego set is another excellent rendition of one of the Star Wars universe's best ships.It is bigger than the original X-Wing from 1999, and has a greater level of detail.Though it does not come with the other stuff like the 1999 set, it does come with many more Lego figures, including Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, R2-D2 and, for the first time, Wedge!This set also gives you the opportunity to change some of the ship's marking, so you can convert it from Luke's X-Wing to Wedge's X-Wing.

The ship is very sturdy, and the length is longer than expected.The wings move up and down via a turning dial in the back.This gives you more control of where you want the wings to sit, so you can pose it however you want.There is also a place to store the lightsaber and the cockpit is hinged so you can open it.

Overall, this is might be the best X-Wing yet.The 437 pieces will take a few hours at the most to build, but it is well worth it. It is a great Lego model, and even if you own earlier versions of the other X-Wings, this one should be a welcome addition to your collection.

Battleground Attack Pack - Twin Crossbow and Gatling Gun Review

(More customer reviews)First off, we bought the starter set, the Hostage Tower Expansion and the other accessory weapons and they all work flawlessly ! Made very well and my kids (4 and 9) love to play. The twin crossbow on this attack pack works great as well. HOWEVER, the gatling gun, which my kids were really excited about, was a real disappointment. It fails to shoot more than a few inches. I have tried replacing the elastic band which came with it, with a stronger rubber band, but it's still not working properly. Don't let this scare you off, however, the rest of the sets work great... and what kids dont like to knock things down and "destroy." It is very simple for my 4 year old to understand so he can play just like the big boys.
